The Godfather at Arclight Hollywood

Last night was the start of Arclight Hollywood's presentation of "The Godfather" and "The Godfather part II." Both films have been meticulously restored by Robert A. Harris who has previously worked his magic on David Lean's "Lawrence of Arabia" and Stanley Kubrick's "Spartacus." The restoration is nothing short of a miracle. Despite the fact that it was a film based screening, the detail and clarity revealed in these new prints is startling. If you're in the area, there's no excuse not to check out these films on the big screen.

Last night's show did not disappoint in this regard as local L.A. cast Sins O' the Flesh put on one heck of a performance, one that I have a feeling I may be attending again some time in the future. Now if only they had a separate, non-participatory audience section...
